PGDM NextGen Flagship Program Prepares Students for Career Success
A management career takes more than a qualification. Employers also look for people who can apply what they know, communicate clearly, work with technology, and respond to real business challenges. The PGDM NextGen Flagship Program helps students build these capabilities through management education linked with industry tools and practical experience.
Industry-powered specializations
The two-year, full-time program offers dual specialization pathways across 10 areas. Students can explore Finance Management powered by SAP FICO; Marketing Management with SAP Sales and Distribution; Human Resource Management with SAP SuccessFactors and Oracle HCM; and Business Analytics powered by HCLTech and EY.
Other pathways include Operations Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Agribusiness Management with SAP Materials Management; Global Finance with ACCA UK and Bloomberg; and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning and Cyber Security, both powered by HCLTech and EY.
These pathways connect management concepts with the systems businesses use. Students can understand how functions such as finance, marketing, human resources, and operations contribute to organizational decisions.
Learning through practice
The program places a strong emphasis on experiential learning, with 70% practical exposure through live projects, internships, case studies, business simulations, industry visits and startup exposure. These activities give students opportunities to work through business problems, collaborate with peers, and present their ideas.
Students also receive one-to-one mentoring from CEOs, CTOs and HR leaders. More than 100 value-added certification opportunities further support learning beyond the core curriculum, including opportunities associated with institutions such as Harvard Business School and IIM Bangalore.
A global learning experience
PGDM NextGen includes a 15-day global immersion opportunity for eligible students who meet the 80% attendance requirement. Exposure to international academic and business settings can help students observe different approaches, broaden their perspective, and build confidence in cross-cultural environments.
Academic credentials and career preparation
IIBS Bengaluru holds UGC autonomous status and NAAC ‘A’ Grade accreditation. Its PGDM is AICTE-approved, NBA-accredited, and recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to an MBA.
The program also focuses on preparing students for recruitment through career guidance, communication and skills development, resume preparation, mock interviews and recruiter interactions. PGDM NextGen reports a placement band of INR 12–25 LPA, subject to program conditions, student eligibility, and employer selection.
IIBS reports a highest package of INR 62 LPA and an average of INR 11.2 LPA for its PGDM 2024–26 batch. Its ongoing placement update for the PGDM 2025–27 batch reports a highest package of INR 72 LPA, with placements continuing.
Turning potential into progress
PGDM NextGen combines specialization-focused learning, practical experience, mentoring, and global exposure. The program gives students opportunities to develop their strengths and prepare for the expectations of a changing workplace.
